The auspicious day of Saraswati Balidan 2024 is observed to honor the Hindu goddess of knowledge and wisdom Saraswati. According to the conventional Hindu calendar, it is observed on "Navami," the ninth day, during "Shukla Paksha," the brilliant fortnight of the moon, in the month of "Aswin." The 'Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra' is when the Saraswati Balidan ritual must be conducted.

On Mahasaptami, the Saraswati Avahan ceremony kicks off the celebration, and on the auspicious day of Vijayadashami, Saraswati Visarjan or Udasan marks its conclusion. On the third day of Saraswati Puja, Mahanavami, the Saraswati Balidan 2024 Puja is held. In Maharashtra and the southern parts of India, the final three days of Navratri, which fall during the month of Aswin, are devoted to the goddess Saraswati.
