Radha Ashtami is observed after the 15 days of Krishna Janmashtami. Thus, it generally falls in the Bhadrapada month’s shukla paksha on the Ashtami Tithi. Radha Ashtami 2025 will fall on 31tst August. The Ashtami Tithi will begin at 10:47 PM on August 30, 2025 and will end at 12:58 AM on Sep 01, 2025.

Radha Ashtami Fasting Story

Radha ji and Lord Krishna were born and brought up in Goloka. Sridama and Lord Krishna were once traveling together. Radha Rani was not happy about this, so she went to Krishna and started expressing her anger. Angered by Radha's behavior, Lord Krishna's friend Sridama cursed her to have an earthly birth. He was also cursed by Radha to become a demon as a result of his anger. 

She was then born in Brij Mandal and was found lying on a golden lotus leaf in a pond in Barsana when she was found on Earth for the first time. An unmarried couple named Vrishbhanu and Keerti discovered her and adopted her. Therefore, the couple adopted her. Radha Ashtami celebrates the day she was discovered. Additionally, it is believed that Shri Krishna appeared to Radha for the first time the moment she opened her eyes. Puja Vidhi Of Radha Ashtami 2025

Just like every year, on Radha Ashtami 2025, people must wake up before sunrise and take a bath. Further, they must start with the procession of the Puja by cleaning and decorating the temple for the starters. Also, the devotees must keep the fast whole-heartedly. Radha- Krishna Abhishek is considered one of the important rituals of Radha Ashtami. This ritual is performed by offering a holy bath to the idols of Lord Krishna and Shri Radharani with a sacred panchamrit. Panchamrit is made of ghee, yogurt, jaggery, ghee & honey.
