Significance of Papankusha Ekadashi 2025
In the Hindu culture, people observe fast on the Papankusha Ekadashi which falls on the 11th day of the waxing period of the moon; Shukla Paksha. On the occasion of Papankusha Ekadashi 2025, people observe a very strict fast for the entire day. Devotees must wake up early and dress up neatly after taking a bath. They can take a sattvic meal once before sunset during the day of Ekadashi. Also, devotees should ensure not to use any harsh language or lies during the fast and in general life too. They should also take an oath to not commit any sin in life.
Devotees should avoid eating cereals such as wheat, moong, gram, urad, rice, lentils, and barley on the Dashmi tithi and worship them on Ekadashi. Later, on this day, people placed an idol of Lord Vishnu in their temple and adorned him with garland and jewelry. The person performing this ritual should chant Vishnu Shastranam in the night. The fast ends the next morning and is concluded by offering meals to Brahmins.
