Diwali Puja 2024 Vidhi and Rituals

1. If you perform Diwali puja, cleaning is essential for the festival. You must scrub your house thoroughly and sprinkle Gangajal (holy water from the Ganges River). Additionally, candles, Rangoli, and clay lamps can be used to beautify the home.

2. In your living room or puja room, spread a crimson cotton cloth on a table or stool. Put a few grains in the platform's center.

3. Position the silver or bronze Kalash in the center of the grains and fill it with 75% water. Add a penny, a marigold flower, a supari (betel nut), and some rice grains to the Kalash. On the Kalash, arrange five mango leaves in a circle.

4. Position the image of Goddess Lakshmi in the middle and the statue or photograph of Lord Ganesha on the right side of the Kalash, facing southwest. Create a tiny, flat mountain of rice on a tiny thali, decorate it with haldi to resemble a lotus flower, add some money, and place it in front of the idol.
5. Set your accounting manual and other items associated with money and commerce in front of the idol. 

6. In front of the deity statues, apply tilak, offer flowers, and light a Diya.

7. To pray, close your eyes and recite the puja Mantra while holding a flower in your palm.

8. As you repeat the Diwali puja mantra, join your hands in a prayer position. After you've prayed, give the flower you're holding to Ganesha and Lakshmi.

9. Offer a Lakshmi idol panchamrita by giving it a bath in water. Put it back with the Kalash after giving it a second water wash and cleaning it with a clean cloth.

10. Present food, kumkum, haldi, and a garland to the deity. In front of the idol, dhoop and burn incense sticks.

11. Present the deity with a coconut, supari, and paan leaf. Give the goddess fruits and sweets, and set a bouquet and some cash in front of the idol.
